Comprehensive Care Conference

Saturday, November 18, 2017
Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, 801 Dixon Rd Toronto

When it comes to rare blood disorders, finding the balance between optimal patient care and efficient stewardship of healthcare dollars is a challenge felt by doctors, hospital administrators, and government officials alike.

Care models exist that offer cost-effective benefits to patients, hospitals, and governments.

This conference presents a growing body of evidence from both domestic and international clinics where innovative strategies are:
  • improving patient and caregiver experiences and outcomes
  • improving safety through tracking of product use
  • increasing cost effectiveness
  • resulting in shorter and fewer hospital stays
  • reducing product waste
Hereditary AngioEdema (HAE) and Primary Immunodeficiency (PID) are used as case studies, and rare bleeding disorder care models are explored.
